Ellywink was born into a family of artificers and tinkerers and was expected to continue the family tradition. From an early age she showed great interest in mechanics and it looked like she would make her family proud. However, she also took great interest in her grandmothers stories of the gods, much to her families dismay. Ever the thinker, she spent hours pondering over how the Gods could simply changed whatever they wanted on a whim. How they could seemingly bend Hard rock and steal with a thought. She came up with a rather odd conclusion. All of life was an illusion created by the Gods, illusions so powerful that mortal minds were forced to conform. Rejecting her family tradition and their ‘lowest’ forms of magics, she traveled to the northern Gnome dens to learn from the illusions there. She became obsessed with illusions, believing if she ever became strong enough she could bend the world as the Gods. After a considerable amount of study, she was conscripted into the war to fight. She didn’t mind, thinking of course that life was an illusion. Her beliefs gave her strong resistances to fear, seeing horrifying things and countless suffering, but it never truly got to her. At least, mostly. She can only really be described as a lush now, always drinking when she got the chance. She enjoys being drunk an analyzing how one illusion is directly effecting the illusion of the rest of life. She continues her quest of trying to perfect her illusion magic so she can shape the universe.
